Daily life pollution and general wear can take the original lustre off your jewellery. Below you will find a guide on how to look after your jewellery. From time to time you get your jewellery cleaned professionally.

.Most jewellery [except delicate gemstones like opals emeralds pearls and some garnet jewellery] can be cleaned in warm water using a mild detergent. Always dry your jewellery after cleaning with a dry soft cloth.

.Avoid hot water and harsh chemicals at all times.

.Porous stones or organic materials such as opals emeralds and pearls should be cleaned using an untreated dry soft cloth.

.Note that some jewellery polishing cloths have already been treated with cleaning chemicals and are unsuitable for cleaning these delicate stones.

.In some European designs garnet stones are illuminated by the addition of special foils in this instance avoid liquids of any kind.

.Jewellery should be kept in a confined space such as a polythene bag inside a jewellery box.

.Chlorine and bleach damage gold and silver avoid contact with and do not wear your jewellery while in a swimming pool hot tub etc.
